Wolfpack Statement on Playoff Game Delay

We wanted to provide an update to our fanbase regarding significant, uncontrollable events that have impacted our travel to Minnesota for our playoff game over the past twenty-four hours. Due to these, our entire team was delayed in their travel to Minnesota. A portion of the team was able to make the trip last night, and the rest are now on the way. All players will be in the arena prior to kickoff and ready to compete on the field. Our historic playoff game will now kick off at 5:00 pm Pacific tonight on HomeTeam Network and the AF1 YouTube.
As an organization, we are acutely aware of the challenge this will create for our team. Make no mistake, the Washington Wolfpack is a team built on overcoming adversity and facing challenges head-on. We intend to win this game and continue with this amazing playoff journey.
The team was booked on a flight out of Seattle on Saturday at Noon to travel to Minneapolis. We were notified that due to system issues with the FAA, there would be a delay on the flight. The flight was delayed in roughly hour-long increments until into the early evening when we were made aware that the flight would be canceled.
We were able to have 2/3 of our team booked on a flight to Minneapolis which left at approximately 11:55 pm on Saturday, July 25. Unfortunately, the remaining 1/3 of the team was not able to be booked until 11:51 am today.
The Minnesota Monsters organization has been a great partner through this ordeal and has made arrangements for a one-hour delay of kickoff and has assisted with travel arrangements to get the remainder of the team to the arena as quickly as possible.
Thank you all for your continued support of the Washington Wolfpack.
