Wolfpack Pulse Check: Refreshed From The Bye Week

The Washington Wolfpack are coming off a bye week and are ready to hit the road to take on the Oceanside Bombers. Prior to the bye week, the Wolfpack had a gritty win over the Oregon Lightning 26-23.
“We definitely needed this bye week coming off a tough game against Oregon," head coach JR Wells said. "It’s always a tough one, but this was definitely a great time for us to get rested up. The boys are rested. I told them to take the time to not just rest their bodies but rest their minds. It’s been an intense season so far.”
JR reminded them there’s a lot of football left to play with five games remaining and no breaks from now until the end of the regular season.
Their next game is a road game against the Oceanside Bombers.
“We are in the hunt right now. We said from the beginning that we have built something special. We’re able to withstand the loud noise out there. We don’t care about the noise. All we care about is building something more and compiling these wins and believing in each other.”
Coach said they’ll take ugly wins because when you look at the wins and losses, there’s nothing saying what kind of win it was. Just that it’s a win.
When looking at the road game against Oceanside, Coach JR said it’s our job to execute.
“It’s our job to do our job, it’s our job when there are eight men on the field to do their 1/8th. And that’s a formula for success. We know we’re going to go against other top-tier players, coaches, and teams. Our focus is to make sure we create that standard of excellence, of working hard, of holding each other accountable in how we show up. How we do anything is how we do everything.”
