Meet the Wolfpack: Tywon Buckley - Linebacker

Tywon Buckley - Linebacker
Measureables: 6'2" - 205lbs
Tywon Buckley joins the Washington Wolfpack this season after playing in Arena Football One last year for the Oregon Lightning. The definition of a diamond in the rough, Buckley hails from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he attended Tara High School. Buckley is an elite athlete who has played both sides of the ball. He played wide receiver in high school before settling into his role as a linebacker at Arkansas Baptist College.
Buckley spent his 2025 season with the Oregon Lightning in the AF1. He played in 10 games for the Lightning. Buckley racked up some impressive stats, ranking in the top 10 in the league in tackles with 31. He had five attacks, a tackle for loss, and a forced fumble. He was tied for fourth in the league in fumble recoveries. Putting his ball skills on both sides of the ball into quick action. In the first game of his Arena Football One career, Buckley immediately made his pretense known against this Washington team, recovering two fumbles (we’re sure glad he’s on our side now). In just his second game with the Lightning against the Salina Liberty, Buckley dominated on defense, grabbing seven tackles in the game. Buckley also led the league in kickoff touchdowns in 2025, once again showcasing his all-around skills. We are excited to see Buckley’s high-flying skills in those beautiful Wolfpack uniforms in 2026!
