Meet the Wolfpack: Travis Alvarez - Offensive Line

Travis Alvarez - Offensive Line
6'8" 335lbs
Travis Alvarez brings dominating size and strength to the Wolfpack offensive line. The towering 6’8” 335-pounder was born in Keyport, New Jersey, to Greg and Tracey Alvarez. He attended Keyport High School, where he was a two-year starter. Alvarez was named to the All-Shore Academic Team as a senior. Travis was also a three-year starter at center in basketball, where he earned All Shore Honors as both a junior and senior. He also played a year of volleyball in high school.
Alvarez attended college at SUNY Cortland, where he played football for the Red Dragons. Travis was an immediate force, starting 11 games and anchoring an offensive line that helped their offense gain over 4,500 yards. He played a huge role in special teams, blocking five kicks as a freshman and setting the school record with 11 blocked kicks in his career.
Coach JR Wells commented on the addition of Alvarez, saying, "Travis Alvarez is the definition of a Swiss Army knife, dominating offense, defense, and special teams with one mission: control the trenches and change the game every snap. That's what dominance looks like."
Alvarez spent time with the Northern Arizona Wranglers and Orlando Predators. He is a massive addition to the Wolfpack offensive line, both literally and figuratively. Travis is looking forward to the season and said he’s “ready to bring my swag to Washington and ball out.”
