Meet the Wolfpack: Michael Badejo - Defensive Line/Linebacker

Michael Badejo
Defensive Line/Linebacker
6'4' 225lbs
Michael Badejo joins the Washington Wolfpack after most recently playing in the European League of Football. Badejo, the versatile defensive player who been described as a “monster off the edge,” hails from Arlington, Texas. The son of Margaret Badejo, Michael played his high school football at Mansfield Timberview High School. Not only is Michael a versatile defender today, but in high school, he played quarterback and running back in addition to his defensive responsibilities.
Badejo attended Southern Methodist University (SMU), where he spent the first two years of his collegiate career. He then transitioned to Texas Southern, where he blossomed for the Tigers. Settling in as a pass rusher for the school, in 2021, he earned All-SWAC second team honors, racking up 28 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and forcing a fumble as a senior.
After college, Badejo received interest from a few different NFL teams, like the Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens, Houston Texans, and San Francisco 49ers, among others. He completed workouts for the Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, and Seattle Seahawks as well. Badejo explored his options in the XFL and has also spent time with many professional organizations. Michael has played for the Obic Seagulls (X-League), Fehervar Enthroners (ELF), Dresden Monarchs (GFL), and the San Diego Strike Force (IFL). During his time with the Ethroners, Monarchs, and Strike Force, he was both the leader in sacks and tackles for loss. With the Monarchs, he scored their only defensive touchdown of the year and also led the team in forced fumbles and fumble recoveries.
Off the field, Michael is a very goofy guy! He loves to dance and act goofy. He’s also known for creating handshakes with fans. So when you attend a Wolfpack game this spring, make sure you find the big man and get your own handshake!
