Meet the Wolfpack: Giovanni Sanders - Quarterback

Giovanni Sanders - quarterback
6'1" 190lbs
Experience, versatility, and explosiveness are just a few of the many things quarterback Giovanni Sanders brings to the Washington Wolfpack. Giovanni, the son of Carolyn, calls Boston, Massachusetts, home. He was a star wide receiver in high school for both Charlestown & Medford High Schools. Sanders went to Santa Barbara City College, where he used his blazing speed at wide receiver for the Vaqueros.
As Giovanni decided to make the transition to professional football, the skilled athlete decided to try his hand at quarterback. It’s worked out very well for the 34-year old play caller. Sanders has thrived in the indoor and arena football games over his career. He’s had success with the Southwest Kansas Storm of the CIF. In the IFL, Sanders has played for the Bismarck Bucks, Tulsa Oilers, Quad City Steamwheelers, San Antonio Gun Slingers, and Tucson Sugar Skulls. Last season, Sanders spent time with the AF1’s Oregon Lightning and was a 2025 All - NAL Offensive Player Honorable Mention for the Idaho Horsemen. Sanders put his talent on display last year, winning NAL Offensive Player of the Week honors for a seven-touchdown game with the Idaho Horsemen.
Giovanni’s Mother Carolyn, and his son Eli are his biggest inspirations and the reason he continues to love playing the game of football at such a high level. Off the field, you’ll find him fishing or spending time outdoors. That is when he isn’t making and producing music, or working on the clothing line “Ambitionaire” that he co-owns with his cousin Martial. On coming to Washington for the 2026 season, Sanders said, "I'm excited to get to Washington to start building towards a championship season with the Pack!
