Meet the Wolfpack: Byron Edwards - Defensive Back

Byron Edwards - defensive back
5'10" 180lbs
Byron Edwards joins the Washington Wolfpack as an Arena Football One veteran. The son of Kameka Diggs, Byron, hails from Dallas, Texas. Edwards played his high school football at Legacy High School in Mansfield, Texas. Byron is the school’s record holder for most blocked kicks (9) in a single season. Wherever the ball is, that’s where you’ll find Byron Edwards.
Edwards started his collegiate career at Oklahoma Panhandle State University before joining the Texas Southern Tigers. Edwards was a star track and field athlete for the Tigers, being named an All-Conference Triple Jumper twice. After college, Edwards found indoor football. He spent time with the Frisco Fighters and Sioux Falls Storm before finding his way into the AF1 with the Albany Firebirds, and then last season with the Nashville Kats. In just five games with the Kats, Edwards logged 20 tackles and two interceptions.
Off the field, Byron Edwards is a nice, calm, chill guy. But once he buckles that chin strap and the arena lights come on, “I’m putting everything on the line for the Pack.”
